Jared Coombs and Tyron Esposito - 2021 Honours graduates!

Congratulations to the Inflammasome Lab’s 2021 Honours students, Jared Coombs and Tyron Esposito for their outstanding research and achievements this year, both graduating with Class I Honours!

Jared Coombs investigated the ability of the inflammasome to drive human diseases, and novel drug therapeutics to treat these pathologies under supervision of Dr Stefan Emming.

Ty Esposito worked under supervision of Dr Larisa Labzin to investigate how antibodies change the signalling profile of macrophages in the presence of influenza A virus.

ABOUT Inflammasome Lab

Inflammasome Lab is a group of researchers led by Prof Kate Schroder at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, The University of Queensland.
We seek to unravel the secrets of inflammasomes – protein complexes at the heart of inflammation and disease – to allow for new therapies to fight human diseases.
