Stefan Emming has joined us at the Inflammasome Lab!

This month the Inflammasome Lab welcomes Dr Stefan Emming to the group! Stefan comes to us from Switzerland and joins the lab as a Postdoc to research the molecular mechanisms underpinning inflammasome activation.

From Stefan: “I am enthusiastic to start working on inflammasomes with such great colleagues.”

Stefan's Bio: Stefan obtained a Master in Biochemistry working on cytosolic innate immune sensors, and then progressed to a PhD in adaptive immunity at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Bellinzona (Switzerland).

ABOUT Inflammasome Lab

Inflammasome Lab is a group of researchers led by Prof Kate Schroder at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, The University of Queensland.
We seek to unravel the secrets of inflammasomes – protein complexes at the heart of inflammation and disease – to allow for new therapies to fight human diseases.
