Welcome Malvina to the Postdoc team!

Dr Malvina Pizzuto has joined the Inflammasome Lab on a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Belgium National Fund for Scientific Research. Malvina will extend our inflammasome research to cardiolipin biology. Malvina is fascinated by how  endogenous mitochondrial cardiolipin regulates inflammatory responses and inflammatory diseases.

Inflammasome Lab is a group of researchers led by Prof Kate Schroder at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, The University of Queensland.
We seek to unravel the secrets of inflammasomes – protein complexes at the heart of inflammation and disease – to allow for new therapies to fight human diseases.
