Inflammasome Lab

 

 

Byron first joined the lab in 2021 as a summer research scholar working on the mechanisms of caspase 4 activation. Byron then returned in July 2022 for an undergraduate research project. In 2023, Byron undertook his honours investigating the activation of NLRP3 in macrophages during Candida albicans infection. In 2024, Byron began his PhD as an IMB Global Challenges Scholar. His PhD will investigate the use of inflammasome inhibitors in fungal infection and disease.
