Xiaohui completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland in 2019. In 2020, Xiaohui was awarded first class honours in the field of microbiology/virology. During her Honours project, Xiaohui investigated the role of flavivirus subgenomic RNA in virus-host interactions. Xiaohui joined the Inflammasome lab in January 2021 and started her PhD to investigate how the innate immune system senses RNA virus infection.
